Discovery Home Services, LLC provides individual design, furniture and houseware procurement, delivery, and installation to home owners within Discovery Land Company communities. Clients of Discovery Home Services benefit from a single point of contact from design to installation of the home. Each home is custom designed to reflect the unique lifestyle, cultural and natural elements that make a Discovery community distinctive and original. The entire process, from concept to installation, is designed to ensure your home is ready to be lived in comfortably from the day you move in.

    The Design

    A series of three private meetings with Discovery's professional home designers ensures that a clear understanding of an individual's lifestyle, interests, tastes and preferences is developed. In the Conceptual Design Meeting, clients select a design style from Discovery Home's Showcase Book. Subsequent design meetings focus on actual selections of furniture and fabrics to be incorporated into a custom Design Portfolio.

     

    Home Furnishings & Window Coverings

    Custom home furnishings include all upholstered furniture, case goods, rugs, mattresses, bed linens, outdoor furniture and window coverings for the home. With more than 500 manufacturers to select from, your home will be designed with furniture from the world's finest manufacturers including Marge Carson, Century, Habersham, Lorts, Swaim and Pearson. In addition, each package is custom designed to reflect the unique lifestyle, cultural and natural elements that make each Discovery property distinctive and original.

     

    Houseware Packages

    Pre-designed "Standard" and "Premium" Houseware packages are available to complete a home. These packages include kitchen and bath linens, bedroom accessories, dishware, glassware, flatware, kitchen utensils, bar accessories, small kitchen appliances, bakeware and basic household consumables and cleaning supplies. Brands featured in the Standard Housewares Package include Riedel, Vietri, Rivolta Carmignani, All Clad and Krups. Premium selections provide Haviland, Baccarat, Pratesi and Steuben.

     

    Home Entertainment Packages

    Utilizing the finest local providers and installation professionals, Discovery Home designs high quality "Standard" and "Premium" Home Entertainment Packages for each Discovery community. The packages include high definition plasma or LCD televisions, audio components and internet connectivity.

     

    Hassle- Free Delivery & Installation

    Pre-delivery consolidation of furniture, housewares and accessories allows for your home to be ready to enjoy at the earliest possible date. Long standing relationships with premier import companies ensure piece of mind for buyers in foreign locations such as Mexico and The Bahamas. Once the items are ready for delivery, experienced delivery and installation teams supervised by Discovery Home designers provide for efficient and professional installation.

    Agreement and Payment Process

    The Discovery Home purchase agreement provides for a design and installation timeline that allows for professional design and procurement of high quality furniture. The process includes the following client payments:

     

    1. A $10,000 Initial Deposit prior to the Conceptual Design Meeting is required.

    2. A Second Deposit equal to 40% of the purchase price, less the Initial Deposit, is due once the final Design Portfolio is approved.

    3. A Third Deposit equal to 55% of the purchase price is due 12 weeks following Design Portfolio approval.

    4. A final payment of 5% of the purchase price is due following completion of the installation.
